Microsoft Word – 4 Classes: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Level 4.

Students begin with basic competency of the Word program using toolbars and menus; working with text; documents and properties, using views, inserting and formatting numbers and date fields, automatic text features; previewing and printing, formatting text, paragraphs and pages; using tabs and indents, adding borders and shading, and creating and sorting lists; using Find and Replace; spell and grammar checking, research tools; and working with templates.

The Intermediate continues competency in working with graphics; advanced formatting options; working with headers, footers and columns; styles; creating and formatting tables; basic collaboration features; and using charts, diagrams and organization charts.

Advanced Word (Forms, Merges and Advanced Collaboration Features) continues with creating, enhancing, protecting and testing forms; working with form fields; Mail Merge and using advanced collaboration features.

Level 4 training (Customization, Long Documents and Macros) presents skills training in customizing the Word environment; using Excel worksheets; navigating long documents; summarizing document content; endnotes, footnotes, figures, authorities, indexes and tables of contents; master documents; and macros.

Microsoft Excel - 4 Classes: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Level 4.

Students learn basic functions and features to enter and edit data, labels; move and copy, insert and delete ranges, and work with relative and absolute references when creating and copying formulas; use functions such as SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, and MAX to perform calculations in a worksheet, and the AutoSum feature; format text, numbers, rows, and columns; preview and page setup options; create, format, modify, and print charts; and saving a workbook as a Web page.

The Intermediate course provides competency in organizing and consolidating data from multiple worksheets, adjusting screen display, advanced functions, formatting features, and print options; filtering data, using comments, naming worksheet ranges and formulas, creating and modifying charts, protecting data, importing and exporting, and publishing worksheets and workbooks to the Web.

Advanced Class (Database Management and Analysis) provides competency in validating data, creating and modifying list ranges, sorting database data, using database functions, using the Advanced Filter and Automatic Subtotal features, creating, modifying, formatting and adjusting PivotTables and PivotCharts, auditing worksheets, performing what-if analyses, and working with scenarios.

Students of Level 4 (Customization, Collaboration and Macros) continues by providing competency in customizing the Excel interface, using templates, using custom chart types, using workbook collaboration features, using workbook integration and XML features, creating and editing macros, controlling macro assignments and functionality, and troubleshooting macros.

Microsoft Publisher - 2 Classes: Basic and Advanced

This course teaches the basic functions and features of Publisher. Students will learn how to create a publication, adjust its page setup, enter and edit text, insert pictures, and create and modify text frames. They’ll also learn how to work with multipage publications, objects, graphics, and tables, as well as how to print publications. Advanced builds on those concepts and skills and continues with: newsletters, Web site design and publication, hyperlinks, hot spots, mail merge and importing data from other Office applications.

Microsoft Outlook - 2 Classes: Basic and Advanced

Learn basic functions and features to configure an e-mail account, read, create, and send messages, and work with file attachments. You’ll also learn how to organize messages, set delivery options, print messages, set up a mail merge, work with contacts and tasks, use the Calendar, and manage their Outlook folders.

Advanced class teaches advanced-level functions and features of Outlook. Students learn to create custom toolbars, menu bars and Navigation pane, advanced search options, set and remove filters; and sort, group, and set rules for messages. Also includes notes, the Journal, advanced Calendar features, message templates, forms, public folders, newsgroups, and Outlook’s security features.

Microsoft Access - 4 Classes: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Level 4.

Basic course provides training in database fundamentals, working with objects, creating databases and tables, table data and structure, related tables, locating information, using select and advanced queries and features.

Intermediate continues with creating and using forms and subforms, advanced form features, creating and using reports, advanced report features, enhancing, data access pages, managing databases, and importing and exporting data.

Advanced Access features designing applications, using advanced tools and controls, dialog boxes, macros, controlling data entry, filter records in reports, custom switchboards, enhancing, database utilities, and applications for multiple users.

Level 4 continues the application development designed for experienced Access users who want to increase database development proficiency by creating complex queries, advanced forms and reports, creating and using macros, and creating and using data access pages with Microsoft Access and Visual Basic for Applications.

Windows XP - 2 Classes: Basic and Advanced

Windows XP introduces students to the Windows desktop, fundamentals to maintain their computer, access Help, and use the Internet Explorer Web browser.Students learn to navigate the folder hierarchy and search for files using My Computer and Windows Explorer, and manage files and folders by using the Recycle Bin.

Advanced Windows XP students builds on the concepts and skills learning how to customize the Windows XP user interface, perform advanced file and folder tasks, manage printers and print jobs, and administer user accounts. They’ll also learn how to use system utilities, maintain system security, and share LAN resources.

Microsoft PowerPoint - 2 Classes: Basic and Advanced

PowerPoint trainig takes the stuent from basic competency in creating and modifying presentations; using proofing tools; inserting and modifying objects, WordArt, clip art and organization charts; creating and inserting charts and tables; and inserting multimedia elements to competency in formatting presentation text, formatting presentation design elements, using collaboration features, preparing and delivering presentations, customizing presentations, applying transitions and animations, printing presentations, and using alternative delivery methods.

QuickBooks 2005 - 2 Classes: Basic and Advanced

QuickBooks students learn to track the financial activity of a small business. Topics include banking, accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, inventory, billing, and customer data management. Before taking this course, students should have a fundamental knowledge personal computers and the Windows operating system.

Pre-REGISTRATION is required at least 6 days in advance of a class to guarantee availability of books.
